Trump-linked hotel developer detained in international prostitution probe

Turkish military police detained a businessman active in the U.S. hotel market after raiding his luxury yacht as part of a lengthy probe into an international ring of high-price prostitutes, Bloomberg reports today.


The businessman, Tevfik Arif, is founder and chairman of New York-based Bayrock Group, a private investment company that partners with prominent real estate groups such as Donald Trump's Trump Group and Blackstone to develop luxury projects. Bayrock-backed projects include the new Trump Soho hotel-condominium tower in New York City and the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Fort Lauderdale.
