Naked tourist disrupts traffic, is tased three times

A nude tourist running into traffic and yelling he is “king of the world” was tased on Big Coppitt Key and jailed early Sunday morning.

Richard Gervasi, 43, of Phoenixville, Pa., reportedly also said he is “made of steel” while he was taken into custody. He reportedly had been drinking and took LSD. He was charged with disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Danielle Malone responded to the parking lot of Bobalu’s Restaurant at 1:30 a.m. after dispatchers received reports of a nude man running into traffic on U.S. 1. She found three men – Gervasi and two of his friends, all on vacation -- in the parking lot. Gervasi had no clothes on.

The owners of a hotel who refused to allow a gay couple a double room acted unlawfully, a judge has ruled.
Peter and Hazelmary Bull, of the Chymorvah Hotel, near Penzance, said as Christians they did not believe unmarried couples should share a room.
Martyn Hall and his civil partner Steven Preddy, from Bristol, said the incident in September 2008 was "direct discrimination" against them.
