Four class-action lawsuits brought by disgruntled Quiznos Sub franchisees against the chain’s owners concluded Friday when a federal judge entered a ruling upholding the terms of a settlement valued at $206 million, according to court documents.
In upholding the terms of an initial settlement submitted last November by attorneys representing more than 8,000 current or former franchisees and Quiznos Franchise Co. LLC and related parties, Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the U.S. District Court in Chicago overruled the lone formal franchisee objection to the agreement

Quiznos Receives Significant Capital Infusion from Shareholders While Gaining Flexibility in Company Debt

Quiznos and Franchisees Reach Settlement of Multiple Class Action Lawsuits
CHICAGO, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. District Court Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer has preliminarily approved a settlement of four franchisee class action lawsuits filed against the Quiznos Franchise Company and others. The cases in Colorado, Wisconsin and Illinois, the earliest of which has been pending since 2006, allege violations of various state and federal laws in connection with the sale and operation of Quiznos franchises. Quiznos denied all claims, and the settlement agreement involves no finding or admission of liability.
