Burger King franchisee with 92 units files bankruptcy

A Burger King franchise operator in the Midwest has filed for voluntary bankruptcy protection and is seeking buyers, according to a story first published in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, a sister publication.
Duke and King Acquisition Corp., filed for Chapter 11 on Dec. 4 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota.
The company, incorporated in 2006 and based in Burnsville, Minn., lists in bankruptcy court documents 70 Burger King franchises in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
